Insulated steel
Clean recessed squares and nothing else. The safest good decision on a modern or transitional house, and the style we fit more of than any other.
Insulated steel

Shaker works because it repeats what is already on the house — the interior doors, the cabinetry, the porch rail. It reads as considered rather than decorative, and it does not date the way a heavily moulded panel does. In white or a soft off-white it disappears politely; in charcoal it becomes the feature.

None, or discreet pulls if you want the suggestion of swing doors.
