Who we are, where we go, and how fast.
More on this →Since 1991. Jim and Angie have owned and run it the whole time, from Richmond.
Greater Vancouver and most of the Lower Mainland — Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby, the North Shore, Bowen Island, the Tri-Cities, Surrey, Langley, Delta, White Rock and Crescent Beach. If you are not sure, call and ask.
Clopay doors and LiftMaster openers. We service and repair every other brand as well, including Chamberlain, Craftsman, Genie, Linear and Manaras.
What happens when something breaks.
More on this →Urgent calls are prioritised and we cover Greater Vancouver daily from Richmond. Call 604-230-3756 and we will tell you honestly when we can be there.
In-home consultations for new doors are free. For repairs we diagnose on site and give you the price before any work begins.
Yes. A torsion spring holds enormous tension and an extension spring can travel across a garage when it fails. Do not try to replace one yourself.
LiftMaster openers, and getting a remote talking to a door again.
More on this →Most are a single visit, including removing the old unit and testing the safety features.
Partly. A belt drive is much quieter than an old chain drive, but if the rollers and springs are worn those will still be the loudest thing in the garage. We will tell you what is actually making the noise.
Yes, though we will check it is right for your door before fitting it.
Cost, lead time, and what is included.
More on this →It depends far more on material and size than on brand. An insulated steel double sits well below a custom cedar one, and full-view glass sits above both. We quote in writing after seeing the opening, so the number you get is the number you pay.
Stock steel doors are usually a couple of weeks. Custom wood and glass are longer. We will give you the real lead time when we quote.
Not always. If your existing opener is sound and suits the weight of the new door, we will reuse it and say so. If it is not, we will tell you why.
Steel, wood and glass, and how much R-value is worth paying for.
More on this →R-value matters if the garage is attached, heated, or has a bedroom over it. For a detached cold store it is largely wasted money and we will say so.
It can, but modern insulated doors are considerably stiffer than the single-skin doors people remember. A basketball will not mark one.
Yes. Clopay's standard range covers most houses, and factory custom colour is available if you need to match trim exactly.
Identifying and supplying the bit that failed.
More on this →Yes. Tell us what you need and we will let you know whether it is in stock or whether there is a compatible part that will do the job.
Most people do not. Send a photograph of the part and a photograph of where it sits on the door and we will identify it for you.
Please call the office to book an appointment before visiting, so we can have someone there and the part ready for you.
