An operator is built to guide a balanced door, not to haul a dead weight. If the springs are tired we will say so before we quote you for a new unit, because a new opener on a badly balanced door will fail early and you will have paid twice.

Battery backup keeps the door working through a power cut, which on the Lower Mainland is not a theoretical concern. Extra remotes and an outdoor keypad cost far less fitted during the install than as a later call-out.
